Austin T Gardner
Austin attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where he obtained two degrees - a BS Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science as well as MS Degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus in project management. During his master's program, Austin wrote a thesis on "The Importance of Relationship-Oriented Leadership for Global Project Teams". While in school, Austin was an active member of his fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and served as a graduate advisor for Student Entertainment Events, the undergradaute programming board.
Throughout his career, Austin has worked in the defense, oilfield services, advertising, and technology industries, holding a variety of roles in research, engineering, software development, and project/program management. Austin is currently living in Irvine, CA and works for Nava PBC, a tech company partnering with the government to improve their digital services, as a lead software engineer.
Outside of work, Austin tried to stay fit through a balance of CrossFit and Yoga. He is also an avid sailor, and was a crew member on "Other Woman", a 40-foot cruising yacht that races on Galveston Bay. If you follow him on Instragram, than you already know all about love of cooking (mostly) healthy foods and seeing as much of the world as possible. He is attempting to learn piano and guitar, with varying levels of success thanks to his years as a percussionist between Elementary School and College. Growing up, Austin was also a student at the American Academy of Martial Arts, where he received his black belt in Taijutsu.
